Carly’s Kids has enjoyed great support from the Bend/Redmond schools and the community with many different fundraisers and organizations committing to helping send students to Outdoor School. Our 2016 “Friends and Family Night” at McMenamin’s (Old St Francis School) on May 3rd had 225 folks enjoying food and drink and raised $2500 for Carly’s Kids. The students at Ensworth continue to put in community service hours by building and staffing Harvest Festival booths for the school Harvest Festival and by selling otter pops and hot cocoa after school. Every penny they raise goes to Carly’s Kids and helps to fund other students going to Outdoor School. Local educators have donated over $2500 through United Way this year. Thank you to all who have generously given time and money to help send students to Outdoor School!
In the past years: Students at Ensworth Elementary are helping out their community and raising funds for Carly’s Kids at the same time! On April 20, 2013, 13 students, their families and teachers worked at the Knotts Landfill cleaning up! Each worker earned minimum wage for their 2.5 hours worked and all the monies went to help send more students to Outdoor School.
